Tami,  while it may be difficult to believe, after we picked Brandy up at
your house , we never had a mishap in the car on the trip home or ever since we
have had her. She is an excellent traveler and loves to go in the car or the
truck. We will be leaving for a month in Florida in two weeks and she is going
along.
    She has completed her first 8 weeks of obedience classes in 6 weeks
because she learns so quickly. The trainer felt it was not necessary to hold her to
the 8 weeks . She was started on off leash training and has done 3 weeks of
that with no problem. To quote the trainer, "You sure got your moneys worth
with her."
    If she has a fault it is that she is extremely strong willed. She will
try very hard to convince us and the trainer that she is the boss but does not
succeed which frustrates her.  We think her high intelligence gets her in
trouble sometimes.
       All in all she is a terrific dog, and has lived up to your expectations
as a STANDARD Schnauzer.  The vet is extremely pleased with her, and the vet
and every one that meets her has no idea that she is a black schnauzer because
they have NEVER seen one before. We talked to a Standard schnauzer (salt &
pepper) breeder at a dog show and her comment was, " I did not know there were
black Standards."
    House breaking was no problem as she wanted out of the car on the way
from Cal. and continued that in the house. The 4.5-day trip with us worked very
well.
