We were thinking about getting a puppy because one of our Giant Schnauzers was getting very old, and ill.  I stumbled upon the Top Shelf website and became interested in getting a black Standard Schnauzer.  I emailed Tami and found that her bitch was expecting a litter, so I filled out the application.  We wanted a pet female, which were in high demand.  I was happy to read about the quality she expected from her puppies.  We kept in contact through email, and then drove to pick up the puppy on Oct. 2.  We had already decided to name her “Top Shelf's Tequila Moon”, with a call name of Tiki. 

When we picked Tiki up, she was already trained to a leash, we were happy to discover.  When we got home, we found that she was also extremely easy to housebreak.  Tami, Steve, and their daughters did a great job of socializing these puppies.  Tiki has fit in with our dogs, a Giant and a Miniature Schnauzer, and is loved by our whole family, which is an extended one.  She is very bright, even without formal training, but we have taught her some basic commands, which she picked up very quickly.  If all of Top Shelf's puppies are like this, I highly commend and recommend all of them.
