I appreciate all breeds for their own special talents and uniqueness. I have had the opportunity to train and observe many breeds. Why did I and my husband Steve, and my daughters Brigette and Samantha decide to own and focus our efforts, our time and our love with this special breed? We have found so many reasons! The Standard Schnauzer combines a spirited temperament with extreme intelligence and loyalty. He is devoted to his family and aloof with strangers, a constant guardian of those he loves. His ability to charm you with his comedic athleticism and human like-mind along with his willingness to learn and endless stamina necessary to be a top performer. The Standard Schnauzer in our mind is an ideal dog for for all the competitive events that are offered in today’s show ring. Being an ideal mid-sized dog with a dense non-shed coat with the natural conformation that provides complete range of motion, speed and drive- this is a breed that truly epitomizes “The Working Dog”. In show coat, their beauty is a constant pleasure to the eye. The remarkable intelligence and irrepressible high spirit of this dog makes him endearing to all who take the opportunity to appreciate this breed.
